Lilly's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Lilly's Story...
Lilly is about three years old. She is a Lab mix girl who came to ARF from Columbia South Carolina. Lilly walks well on her leash and she is appreciative of each bowl of food and/or treat you give her. She is affectionate and loves belly rubs. Lilly is still "puppy-like" in some of her behaviors-- she might overwhelm small children-- but she knows some basic commands. Lilly will reach her paw through her run door to "high five" the volunteers who come by to greet her. However, she does not appear to like cats! Lilly is a sweet girl deserving of a loving forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly, a Beacon Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Beacon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Beacon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Beacon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Beacon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Beacon paves the way for another one to be saved.
