Facts about Yoda

  • Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier/Mastiff Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
AVAILABLE 12-04-15 Yoda came in as a stray but had a collar on. No one ever came looking for this sweet boy. He seems housetrained and knows what a leash is. He loves to play with his toys in our play areas and even has been around a few dogs here at the Shelter. Yoda went to a foster home for a sleep over and they were able to tell us that he loves car rides, leash walks, playing fetch, laying in the bed and just being around people. When you come to the Shelter you till notice that Yoda is the one sitting quietly in his kennel waiting for someone to take him for a walk. When first out of the kennel, he's ready to run, but slows down once into the walk. He tested negative for heartworms and his shots are up to date. He's also been neutered and micro chipped. Yoda is just waiting on you to make your home his forever home.
UPDATE 09-20-16 Yoda recently went to a local Animal Hospital to donate his blood to save the life of another dog. On his return to the Shelter, a little Lab Mix puppy had just come in and was in the Lobby playing. Yoda got down on his belly as low as he possibly could to play gently with the puppy. He let the puppy climb on his head and he kind of cuddled the pup with his chin. So Yoda is not only a life saver, but would make a great puppy sitter. This awesome dog never stops amazing us.
