Loving six month old female looking for a forever home!

Lilly is extremely loving and would be a great family dog! She is looking for a family that can spend quality time with her. She is a bit timid around new things, but looks to her human for approval and is eager to please. She would likely fit in well with a family who already has a dog to be her companion, playmate, and give her direction, as she has a submissive personality.

Lilly is eager to socialize with other dogs and is great with children of all ages. She would love for your toddler to love and kiss on her. Fully crate trained, she readily uses her crate as her safe space and likes to come and go from it as she adjusts to new environments. She does not chew or destroy things, but may take your shoes to her bed to lay on. She is quiet and nervous at first, but is open to new experiences with time and patience and will reward you with kisses galore. She is also eager to protect, barking at new individuals who enter the home without greeting her. Lilly may struggle with sharing her toys with other dogs at first, but is very responsive to training and positive reinforcement.

Lilly loves walks, meeting new people, is scared of cats, and will follow you or your dog everywhere! She would love to be a lap dog and sleep with you, if allowed. If you are looking for an active and loving dog to be an engaged member of your family, Lilly is the one!

About Ring Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Ring Dog Rescue is a 501c3 pit bull rescue organization based out of Richmond, Virginia. Our focus is on the rescue, rehabilitation and long term placement of pit bull-type dogs in our region, as well as on the continued and ongoing education of the general public on the true character of these dogs and their role in altering the current societal perception. In 2009, Ring Dog Rescue placed 87 dogs in loving, permanent homes across Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Washington D.C., New Jersey, Pennsylvania and South Carolina, representing a 26% increase in dogs adopted from 2008. Our dogs come from various sources, including local kill-shelters, as strays or even as removals from neglectful situations. Our dogs are provided full and complete medical care, including spay and neuter, vaccines, microchips and remediation of any ailments the dog may suffer, placed in foster homes, taught to be a family dog and then placed in an adoptive home, after a thorough screening process.
