CAPTAIN BUDDY was found at a local hardware store in the back of the building, bumping into tires, and also the back of the store wall. It seemed like he couldn't see and didn't know where to go.
A kind person who worked at the store dropped him off at a nearby vet hospital. The vet determined that Captain Buddy has glaucoma in his right eye and cataracts in his left eye. His right eye has been removed and he is doing very well with his recuperation.
Captain Buddy is a sweet Jack Russell Terrier mix who is 6-7 years old and weighs about 30 pounds. Buddy gets along with other dogs and loves people, too. He is also good at walking on a leash.
From Captain Buddy's foster family: We have been fostering him at our home and, boy, is he a sweetie. He is crate trained and walks well on a leash in spite of not being able to see. He sniffs at everything and enjoys the long walks. He is friendly with other dogs and people and loves attention.
Most likely Buddy has never known love, and what its like being cared for. Buddy has also been neutered and fully vetted - he's scheduled to arrive at EHR on 10/27. If you want to help Buddy Learn what it's like to be inside a home and know the love of a family, please fill out an application on him and be sure to mention his name - CAPTAIN BUDDY SCAS!
