About Critters 4 U Rescue INC

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a state registered 501c3 non profit rescue in Hampton that helps save the many homeless, abandoned, abused/neglected animals. Animals are helpless and need people like us to save us from what the irresponsible/cruel members of the community do to them. We started by just being someone who took in a few unwanted animals and after a short time the word got out and we got bigger and bigger with many animal controls, shelters, vets, the community etc calling on us to help. We are still relatively small rescue with mainly 1 home doing all the work and a couple of fosters helping with animals who need a little extra TLC. We are always looking for fosters/volunteers to help us save lives as their are so many out there and there is no way we can do this alone. Even if you cant help physically you can always donate to help the animals. We give the animals a safe place to live and give them proper medical care, food, shelter, love, etc until a permanent loving home can be found. We bottle feed babies, help expecting mommies deliver their babies in a safe environment, we show the animals that people can be trusted, etc. And all this takes alot of time and expense. We are non profit which means we dont make any profits, in fact we spend way more on these animals than we can ever think of taking back in. But these beautiful animals deserve it and so much more.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Since we a re home based that means our rescues are in homes so that the pet gets the most interaction, love, and one on one care it can recieve. Being in a home also makes us more available for adoptions. In most instances you can come the same day you inquire about a pet. Being a home based rescue we dont put our exact location online here so you will have to call to get that. We also have adoption events several times throughout the year depending on the numbers of rescues we have and availability of places to hold these events. You can check our website at critters4urescueinc.org to see any additional information about us etc. And please remember being we are home based we do not have set adoption hours so that means we can accomodate you anytime in most instances.

Our Adoption Process...

We do have an adoption process. . You must provide proof you are allowed to have the pet in your residence, and have proper means to care for the pet. You would need to contact rescue to inquire about the pet you are interested in and schedule a meet and greet. There is an adoption application you must fill out and sign if you would like to adopt a pet, We then go over your application to verify information that is put on it. Usually within 24 hours of application 9unless application is submitted on weekend), a home visit is scheduled to make sure pet will be good fit in family. Adoption contract can be signed at home visit and adoption finalalized. You will get all medical records and you will get a packet with information on caring for your pet.. We try to keep our fees very low, so in most instances our fees for our kittens/cats is $60 unless it otherwise noted on the individual animal. Our fees for puppies and dogs is $200 unless noted. Any other animal is going to be noted on individual animal. We do have specials throughout the year where our fees are reduced for certain occasions. Please remember these fees include the fact they have been to the vet, have been tested for diseases like FELV/FIV, HW, intestinal parasites, etc. They are vaccinated as age appropriate, spayed/neutered (cat/dog over 5 months old), and are treated for injuries/illnesses etc. All of this is costly.
