Joey is endearing. He has much potential and hasn’t a mean bone in his body. He will probably never be a lap cat (though he could surprise us!) but deserves a good, loving home where his family will give him the time and space he needs to continue to build his trust and affection.
If you are the type person who enjoys the journey Joey offers, please come meet him. You won’t be disappointed.
Joey started out life with a feral mom and lived with her, two older kittens and 2 siblings for the first 6 weeks of his life. After he was trapped and neutered he went to live with a CAWS foster who has been determined to convince him that life is good and humans are to be trusted, if not adored.
Joey has come a long way. With his sister, Sandra, he now plays joyfully, allows being held and seems to enjoy being petted just a little. He rolls on his back to be scratched just a little and then scurries away. He is still cautious but eats treats from her hand and gets on the bed to be close but not on her lapIf you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at www.caws.org.
