Mister wandered out into the road just far enough in front of a Good Samaritans car that she was able to screech to a halt without hitting him. He happily climbed into the backseat when she opened the door for him. After driving around and knocking on doors nearby, but no one would claim him. Mister ended up at Murray County shelter where his time was up after a short 7 days so this Good Samaritan went back to get him.
Mister is housebroken and crate trained. He is good with kids and some other dogs, however he has never been around cats. He is very smart and food motivated and has already learned commands such as sit, down, stay, wait, and heel. He absolutely loves riding in the car, preferably in the front seat close to his people.
Misters perfect family would be someone with dog experience, who is willing to continue his training at home and have their home set up for dogs. He is young, higher energy, and strong so someone who is committed to exercising him would be fantastic. Mister would really love a fenced yard to run around in as well. Mister would also do well as a road truck drivers companion since he REALLY loves riding in the car! He is currently being boarded at Tenasity Canine Behavior Specialists and has had 2 weeks of formal training, but they have also continued to work with him. He is very sweet with all of the employees, they love him and he is always making them laugh. Mister prefers quieter dog companions and older children. His adopter would get two 1 hour in-home training sessions with Tenasity if they are within a 100 mile radius of Atlanta.
