Cockapoo Mix Dog for adoption in Richmond, Virginia - Casey

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Casey's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, and up to date with shots.

Casey's Story...
Casey is a male Cocker/poodle mix approximately 8 yrs old. He is a good dog looking for a home because his owners could no longer care for him. He has been to basic training through Petco and knows basic commands. He is housetrained and crate trained and actually likes going in his crate. We are looking for a home with no small children and also don't let this guy's age fool you - he is full of life and energy. It is recommended that he has a fenced in yard because of his energy. He does tend to pull on a leash so a harness would work best for Casey. He does have food allergies so he is on a vegan diet which he has done good with. He should continue on this diet - if not he will become itchy.

We recommend and encourage you to complete an application at http://henricohumane.org/adopt/application-for-dogs/ before coming to our next adoption event. To find out if I will be attending our next adoption event, please email dogs@henricohumane.org.

Adoption events are every Saturday, excluding holidays, at the Petco located at 11331 W. Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA (next to Trader Joe’s) from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Casey, a Richmond Cockapoo dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cockapoo for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Cockapoo dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cockapoo breeders who help with Cockapoo rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
