VSR was alerted to a 10 yr old senior on the E-list for medical at Lied Shelter, who was in a great deal of pain, due to a bulging eye. We went to meet this dog, and found that despite the terrible amount of pain he was in, he was the friendliest, sweetest dog you could ever meet. We just could NOT leave this dog to die there. MEET CHEF! Chef was rushed to the vets, who recommended immediate removal of the eye. The protruding eye was so large they actually had to rupture it to remove it. This dog is AMAZING, sweet and gentle. Additional Bonus is the vet says our CHEF is only around 7 years old, not 10. We will be updating his bio soon.
Chef, German Shepherd Dog has been shared from Shelter Exchange.

About Vegas Shepherd Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

egas Shepherd Rescue’s mission is to provide lost, unwanted and homeless German Shepherds a safe and loving environment while they rest and recuperate with needed medical treatments and/or training while being rehabilitated to the point where they can be placed in forever homes.
We will not settle for mediocrity – not in our members, volunteers, facility or adopters. Our commitment to the highest quality of care for our dogs will not waiver. We will continue to educate and inform the general public and our followers with information to support the breed. Our love and passion for German Shepherd dog drives us to do what is best for our dogs. To treat each dog as if it were a member of our family and act in their best interest.
VSR is dedicated to finding the positive in every negative situation that is thrust upon us. We build on those positives through hard work, compassion and a desire to stay optimistic, even in the tough times. We will focus on the tasks at hand. Our goal is to answer the question, “What can I do today to make a difference and help this dog?”.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have our own facility, but rely on the generosity of foster homes. We conduct meet and greets with approved adopters by appointment only.

We hold several events each month on Saturdays and Sundays with some of our orphans. Check our website or Facebook page for our upcoming events.
