Doug's Story...
Doug is a 11 week old lab mix.

Doug was brought to an overcrowded Texas shelter with his sisters. They didn't stand much of a chance because They were so young and the shelters can be such dangerous places for little puppies. We knew we could find them perfect homes here in CO, so we scooped them up and put them into a loving foster home:

Doug and his siblings have some of the most amazing personalities. It's not often you get a litter of pups and they are all incredibly friendly, happy, and snuggly, but I guess it's not impossible because thats what happened here! All puppies play hard and sleep hard. They have great appetites and love to wiggle their fluffy butts around the house together.

We believe that with Doug's excellent personality he would do great with most home situations. He would be great for a family with kids, or another dog for her to play with. He would also do great in a home with an active young couple, or older couple!
Really, anybody would be lucky to have little Doug as part of their family :)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Doug, a Boulder Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
