About Our Shelter...
We are a small rural facility striving to be no-kill and change the lives of the dogs in our area. The current location of the pound prevents public adoptions on a daily basis so we rely on the internet to move our dogs to higher traffic areas. We are encouraging residents to spay and neuter their animals voluntarily to help reduce the overpopulation.
Donate to Our Shelter...
Donations may be called into Demopolis Animal Clinic. 334-289-1839 for the "Town of Butler" account or mailed to PO Box 455 Butler, AL 36904. Checks should be addressed to the Town of Butler with "Pound" in the "for" section
Come Meet Our Pets...
Our pets are available for meet and greets by appointment only unless we are hosting an off-site adoption event.
October 12th- Butler Fest- Butler, AL.
Our Adoption Process...
All animals adopted through our agency is required by Alabama state law to be spayed/neutered and brought up to date on shots. Local adopters must have an appointment with Demopolis Animal Clinic for the day after pick-up to adopt a dog. Verification of spay/neuter must be confirmed by Demopolis Animal Clinic. Out-of-town adopters must be screened by one of the pound's rescue partners and will follow their adoption processes.
