Bowen's Story...
Bowen  -

This guy is a spunky adolescent kitty. He's in the middle of the kitten phase where everything is potential prey for him to chase, stalk and pounce on! He's excited, and curious and eager to meet you. He's been moved around a lot in his short life and can initially appear nervous or defensive in brand new settings but never fear, he's quick to adapt and wants nothing more than to bond with the fellow housemates (furry and human alike!). Once he warms up to you, you'll be hard pressed to leave the room without him tailing you. He's after companionship, which he seeks from cats, dogs and humans alike.
He likes to play a good game of attack your feet and then snuggle up next to you on the couch. He's not afraid of meeting new people or creatures as long as someone he trusts is there to experience it with him. If this sounds like your purrfect soulmate - please fill out an application today!

His adoption fee is $120.00 and includes all shots, FIV tests, and neuter.   http://www.ajssearchandrescue.org/adoption-application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bowen, a Akron Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Akron, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Akron.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Akron already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Akron breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Akron paves the way for another one to be saved.
