Hyundai's Story...
Hyundai is a sixteen week old Ebony kitten, who was found alone in front of the Hyundai car dealership in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. Hyundai was soaked in oil residue, and Hyundai's fur-coat was dull but the kitten's spirit was meant to shine. After being rescued by IBKNY, Hyundai was bathed and nursed, so now Hyundai's fur-coat is brilliance and full of luster. Even though Hyundai was found alone, she loves other cats and is trusting of people -- a total friendly lapcat, affectionate and what a purr machine.
Due to Hyundai's poor diet trying to survive at the car dealership she has irritable bow syndrome and must be on grain free food and of course indoor only but the love that she gives is so worth the extra care - she deserves.

To adopt Hyundai, please contact IBKNY at 917-889-5896, or email us at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hyundai, a Brooklyn American Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a American Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
