Meet Riley, a 6 year old Lab mix. Riley has spent her whole life living with her brother Hooper and they would ideally like to stay together in their new home, but it is not 100% required. Riley is a very sweet and affectionate girl, she may take a little time to warm up to her new people, but once she does she will always want to be right by your side. Riley loves to play and enjoys a good game of fetch, and she also loves to snuggle up with her foster mom in her chair afterward. She is house and crate trained, but is a good girl when left out home alone so she does not always need to be crated. Riley is good with kids, cats, and other dogs with proper introductions.

If you are interested in meeting Riley, complete the Adoption Application on our website at and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Riley’s adoption fee is $195.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.

About Needy Paws Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Needy Paws Rescue, located in St. Louis, MO, is devoted to saving animals in need, whose lives are in danger at high kill animal shelters & animal controls, those who are strays, have been abandoned or whose family has faced an extreme emergency, regardless of their size or breed.

Our organization is made up of Volunteers who have been involved in various animal rescues in the St. Louis area and we plan to use our knowledge & experience to make a difference. We believe spaying & neutering is a very important step in keeping pets healthy & happy, plus it helps decrease overpopulation. All of our rescued animals will be spayed or neutered, they will be microchipped to ensure they are identifiable if lost or stolen and they will be current on all of their vaccinations before going to their Forever Homes.

We are foster-based and all pets stay in approved Foster Homes that have passed inspections, reference checks and are qualified to take care of our rescued animals while they wait for their Forever Family. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will be making home visits and conducting veterinarian checks & reference checks to ensure the pets will have a safe, loving, happy home. Forever Families will be taught how to care for their pet and learn how to get the most out of their relationship with their new family member. We also have an after-care specialist who will be in contact with the families after the adoption to see how well they're doing together
