Suzy - DRD program's Story...
Suzy is a 4 year old hound mix. She is super sweet and busy with her nose to the ground. Suzy is about 2 years old. She is a spayed female who came to us quite pregnant. After having her babies, she tested positive for heartworms. She has been through the series of heartworm treatments and will need to be tested once more in approximately four months from her last treatment. Suzy loves people. She gets along with other dogs but she mostly loves squirrels! She can’t take her eyes off of them if she sees them out a window. Because of the likelihood, she would chase, she needs to be fenced when outside or on a leash. Suzy is a beautiful girl that would make a wonderful household member for someone of any age. If you are interested in any Sparky pet, please go to www.sparkyrescue.com/adopting and fill out our pre application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Suzy - DRD program, a Owensboro Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Owensboro, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Owensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
