Sasha's Story...
Sasha is a 3 year old female Pit Bull Terrier who likes her tennis ball and has a gorgeous smile. Sasha was surrendered because her owner had to move in with her parents, and Sasha did not get along well with the other dog in the home. Sasha had been originally rescued from a dog fighting ring, where she had been a pet or possibly a breeder. She is now spayed. In her previous home, Sasha was the nanny dog to very young children. She was patient and tolerant, even when they played in her food. She has apparently done well with puppies and submissive dogs, but she has not reacted well to other dogs who are less accepting of her dominance. She has a high prey drive and would not do well in a home with small animals. Sasha loves to play fetch but will get sore if people let her play too hard for too long. She is very friendly and social, she knows several commands, and she's utd on shots. Plus she's cute as a button.

If you want to apply for Sasha, please visit the rescue and fill out an application. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sasha, a Meridian Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
