Clyde's Story...
*Update: We've discovered that Clyde has some issues with separation anxiety. He would do best in a home where he can be with his people most of the time and/or where he can be kept in a secure outdoor run when his family can't be with him.* Clyde arrived from the Idaho State Correctional Institution, where he has lived most of his life. He is a five year old Lab/Great Dane mix who weighs about 75 lbs. Clyde is great with people but not so good with other dogs, so he will need to be a singleton in his new home. He is a docile, loving dog, who enjoys running and would do well in a home with a large back yard. Clyde is kennel trained, neutered, and utd on shots.

If you want to apply for Clyde, please visit the rescue and fill out an application. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clyde, a Meridian Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
