Harvey's Story...
WHAT A STUD MUFFIN! Meet Harvey; a gentle, large, marshmallow. Harvey is about 1.5 years old and is up to date with all his shots. He is good with other dogs, and has many friends at Rover Stay Over. He may not be great with cats but unsure of that. He probably will not do well with chickens or livestock. Harvey know some basic commands and loves treats. Being treat motivated will help him learn more basic obedience and rules of the house. He enjoys walking on a long leash, chasing butterflies, and crickets in the field. The nose is always sniffing everything which is why I believe he has some hound in him. He is gentle with all people but due to his size small children may not be the best for him. If you would like to meet Mr. Stud Muffin please fill out a statement of interest. www.alternativehumanesociety.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harvey, a Bellingham Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
