Gus is a small, white poodle mix who is around 5 years old.  He is a sweet boy who weighs about 12 pounds. Gus was in a rural shelter near Houston, and is shy and still pretty scared after his shelter experience. He will need a patient owner as he learns to trust!

He is very comfortable around other dogs, and would probably do best in a home with other pets, and without small children. Gus would probably be fine in a home with older children.

Gus was heart worm positive and just completed treatment. He will have to rest and be a man of leisure for the next 8 weeks! Gus is also recovering from a urinary tract infection and is on a special diet at this time.  He is up to date on all his shots and has been neutered.

Gus is settling in well in his foster home.  He loves being near his two fur foster brothers.  He enjoys getting petted and loves treats! Gus is such a sweet dog and with time and patience he is going to be an awesome family member. If you are interested in Gus please complete an application and his foster mom will contact you.

Come Meet Our Pets...

To meet our pets, contact us about any dog/puppy you are interested in and we'll set up a meeting time/date between the adopter and foster home.

Our Adoption Process...

Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be UTD , current on HW prev and S/N. If a home visit is needed we will compele that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fee is $200 for dogs ad $250 for puppies. We spend an average of $300 on each dog/puppy, so the adoption fee helps pay for the vetting for future dogs we bring into the program. Their is a 5 day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family.
