Shadow's Story...
Shadow is a wonderful girl who was rescued in September of 2016 as a stray living under a staircase at an abandoned building. Now she is the happiest, most loving pup! She is so grateful to finally be safe & is sweet as pieeee! She loves people, dogs, cats and everything about life! Although she's young and playful she's happy to curl up on the couch next to you. She is working on house and crate training and she can jump a 4ft. fence - so she must be accompanied when outside. She is a wee little thing, weighing in at just 35-40lbs full grown and around a year old.

If you're interested in adopting, please visit our website at www.c2cnd.org & click on "adoption process" to fill out an application! Adoption fee for pups up to 2 years of age is $250, 2+ years is $225, & giant breeds is $350 - this covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, heartworm test (if old enough to be tested & treatment if necessary), and spay/neuter.

Due to our thorough adoption process (resulting in prolonged wait times for long-distance families), dogs of any age, size, and breed will be available to local adopters only. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Charlotte American Pit Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
