Kentucky's Story...
Kentucky #5457 is a 1-year-old male, Husky mix. This big boy is very sweet and seems to like everyone. He is very smart, learns very quickly and is eager to please. He is crate trained, and seems to be good with dogs of all sizes. He is curious about cats but doesn’t seem aggressive toward them. He weighs 54 pounds and is full grown. This pup is microchipped. We believe you can always teach an "old" dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: http://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoptus.html and return it per instructions. Email dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with questions. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for adoption event locations and updates: www.facebook.com/lcarmd.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kentucky, a Waldorf Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
