Krieger's Story...
Krieger is a gorgeous, sweet and friendly boy. He travels well in the car, will go in a crate, but is not crazy about it. His foster parents have not crated him at night, and he sleeps by their bed quietly the entire night and does not get into any mischief. Krieger is two-years-old, and therefore has the energy of a two-year-old; we think he would love an active family and/or one with kids that would shower him with love and attention. He LOVES tennis balls, actually anything he can pay catch with. He rarely gets tired of retrieving the ball and will play as long as you are willing. Krieger will be available soon. Please check back for updates as his foster family learns more about him.

Special Considerations for Adoption: We have been told that Krieger is good with children and small dogs, but his foster has not had a chance to verify that.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Krieger, a Houston German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Houston, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
