Pearl Ann's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Pearl Ann's Story...
Pearl Ann is a female Pointer mix and is estimated to be 3 yrs old. She had an old eye injury and sadly it had to be removed. She gets around just fine though! She plays well with others and enjoys being around people (and definitely loves running and playing with dogs too!). She really is a sweet girl! She will need a home that has a 6ft fence or a wooden because this little lady can climb a chain link. She is a happy and wiggly lady to all that she meets. Come meet her at one of our stands - you won't be sorry!

We recommend and encourage you to complete an application at http://henricohumane.org/adopt/application-for-dogs/ before coming to our next adoption event. To find out if I will be attending our next adoption event, please email dogs@henricohumane.org.

Adoption events are every Saturday, excluding holidays, at the Petco located at 11331 W. Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA (next to Trader Joe’s) from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pearl Ann, a Richmond Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
