Tolkien's Story...
"Tolkien is my name, I am named after a great author of wonderful stories!I am a sweet, mellow kitten. I enjoy sleeping and cuddling. I get playful too, do not be fooled! When I am frisky...LOOK OUT! I LOVE the cat climber here and I also have a lot of fun with my sister and the other cats here. I am more quiet than my sister, and thats just fine with me! I am all black and my fur is fluffier than my sisters. I like my fur! Its soft and thick! "
That was a little message from our sweet baby, Tolkein! Isnt she somethin? She is still a tiny little baby, and she lost her mom wayyyy too young. We rescued her from the side of the road with her sister at about 3-4 weeks old. They werent even weaned yet. She is not afraid to use her little claws, and is so fun to watch on the kitty-climbing posts! She and her sister are sweet, and so very grateful to have a new family that loves them. We cannot imagine how they wound up next to the road, in front of our house. I hate to think of the possibility that someone would have abandoned them there intentionally! That would be terrible!
Right now the sisters are about 5 weeks old, and are not even old enough to have shots yet. We want you to know them as soon as possible. It is important that you get in as much baby-time with your new baby(s). What we think would be ideal, is if you were to "foster" your baby(s) in your home until they are old enough to actually get their shots, surgeries, etc. It is a precious time and you will find it one of the most adorable things you have ever seen! Please contact us if you would like to meet either of these little baby sisters:) You WILL fall in love! You have been warned!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tolkien, a Ocala Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Ocala, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Ocala.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ocala already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ocala breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ocala paves the way for another one to be saved.
