Shay's Story...
Shay came to us with a litter of puppies. She has been isolation with them but the noises at the adoption center have not helped her come out of her scared shell as of yet. She has cared for 4 puppies and now it is time for us to find someone to care for her. She is shut down and scared of her own shadow. We are looking for a foster home to show her the world is not a scary place and that humans are good. Since she is so fearful we are looking for an experienced foster home without small kids. She will need time and quiet to come around and learn how to be a dog and accept love. It took 2 people to get her out of a crate and into bath. Our hearts break for her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shay, a St John Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in St John, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in St John.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St John already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St John breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St John paves the way for another one to be saved.
