Boe's Story...
Boe is an adorable 8 year old male American Eskimo Dog. Boe takes a little time to get to know new people, but once he knows you he is absolutely amazing! Boe is cute and cuddly, affectionate and playful. Boe was an owner surrender because his mom lost her home. Boe had lived with two other Eskies, an 8 yr old and another over 10 years. The oldest dog was given to a family member by the former owner and the other 8 year old, Kodi, is also with CER. Boe and Kodi are not attached to each other, in fact they can get rather competitive with each other. Boe is not recommended for a home with children, he has not had experience with kids. Boe would love to have a calm, somewhat quiet home, take lots of walks, possibly enjoy a fenced yard, and of course, get plenty of loving. Boe loves walks and is good on car rides. Boe will be neutered mid-September, he is fully vaccinated and microchipped, on heartworm prevention and flea/tick protection.

Note: Boe has one bad eye, this eye is blind, and receding. We have Boe being seen by our vets to assess the eye to determine if the eye should be removed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boe, a Elmhurst American Eskimo Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Eskimo Dog for sale in Elmhurst, or seeking a American Eskimo Dog dog from a breeder in Elmhurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmhurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmhurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Eskimo Dog breeders who help with American Eskimo Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmhurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
