Tucker's Story...
Tucker is a playful and sweet 1 year old Rat Terrier Mix ready and waiting for his new forever home! This sturdy little guy is a bundle of fun, and loves to play fetch, and play wrestle with his roommates. He is doing great with his roommates, and should be happy to have a canine companion in his new home. Tucker has been very friendly with the staff, and all of his visitors including kids! He is smart and listens well, and already knows the sit command. He is doing well with his potty-training, but may need some reminders in his new home while getting used to a new routine. Tucker is neutered, current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Come and visit with him today at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook. We are open daily from 12-6pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tucker, a Benbrook Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
