Beamer & Bentley's Story...
Beamer & Bentley are bonded and must be adopted together.

Beamer is a very sweet male Cockatiel. He can say good birdie, make kissing noises, whistles ALL THE TIME!!! and knows most of the Andy Griffith Theme song. He is absolutely darling. You will fall in love with him immediately.

He eats a pelleted diet. But he will eat almost anything offered to him.

Bentley is a great bird- loves attention and cuddling. He would love to just hang out with you all day and be your new BFF. He knows a few words- step up, kissing noises, whispers to you at bedtime.

Bentley doesn’t like baths, but he likes being with you while you shower and just hanging out with you. He also likes to preen your face and hair. He likes to hang upside down on your finger and preen himself. (You have to flip him and he will hang there, he doesn’t just fall over on his own)

Bentley eats pellets but fruits. Like Mango and papaya. His previous owners loved him very much. But their life situation changed and they could no longer keep him.

Adoption Fee: $200 for both

Beamer Hatch Date: 6/1/2003

Bentley Approx Hatch: 2013

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beamer & Bentley, a St. Louis Cockatiel was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cockatiel for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Cockatiel from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cockatiel breeders who help with Cockatiel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
