Pete & Pearl's Story...
Pete and pearl are bonded and will need to be adopted together. They are very scared still but once you have them out and on you they are fine. Their foster family has been working with them a lot. Pete will step up. And about 7:45 and 8:45 every morning he wakes us up with a beautiful song. Pearl is very cage protective. But neither one bite. Both do well around the foster families 2 year old. Pete will let her hold him on her hand or shoulder.

Pete is the darker grey and white and Pearl is more of the lighter color.

Hatch Dates: Unknown
Adoption Fee: $120 for both

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pete & Pearl, a St. Louis Cockatiel was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cockatiel for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Cockatiel from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cockatiel breeders who help with Cockatiel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
