Claudette is an adorable senior Beagle rescued from a Georgia kill shelter on her last day. Her age is anyone's guess. Claudette is approximately 17 lbs. and is finally getting close to her ideal weight. The poor girl was so skinny and weak when she was rescued, but is now getting back her mojo! Feeding time is her favorite time of day! She gets all excited and you can see glimpses of the funny little dog she used to be before she was neglected and thrown out like yesterday's trash. She gets along with other dogs, cats and children as well. She craves your attention but is not clingy. She enjoys sunbathing on the deck, but she will come when called (unusual in a Beagle for sure!) She already responds to her name and loves to hear it spoken softly to her while you gently stroke her head. Her favorite place to snooze is in bed with her foster mom and fur-sisters and brothers. She sleeps like a rock! Claudette appears to be housetrained and is quiet in her crate, which she keeps clean, but we only crate her when we leave and nobody is at home. She is comfortable in there and seems to like it just fine. This sweet angel needs the loving home she's never experienced.
