Freya is a little diva with high, sweet voice. She loves to hang out with you - either in your lap, or on the back of your chair. Generally she gets on well with other kitties, although she can be food-aggressive at times. She's come a long way from when some awful person threw her out of a car last month while driving on Jupiter Road in Garland! Luckily a kind person stopped and rescued her from the street.

About Texas Pawprints Cat & Kitten Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our founders came from other cat rescue groups as we wanted to accept the cats others would not accept; older animals, injured, FIV positive and black cats/kittens. We also assist with TNR and have several traps to loan. We are small and informal, and always welcome new volunteers in any capacity.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events every weekend at several Hollywood Feed locations, including their Preston/Royal, Uptown and Lakewood stores. Please check out our Facebook page or call/text 214-912-2573 to find out when our next adoption event will be held.

If you're not able to visit an adoption event, send us an email and we can arrange to meet you at a local business or your vet's office.

Email hairball@texaspawprints.org for weekend adoption event starting times.

Our Adoption Process...

We ask all potential adoptors to complete a two-page application. Next, we interview all potential adoptors. We ask about previous pets owned, if all family members want to adopt, and the conditions in which the animal will live. Generally we will not finalize an adoption if the animal will be allowed outdoors unsupervised, or if all family members do not agree to the adoption. We also discourage declawing of cats. Our adoption fee is $95 and covers a test for FIV and feline leukemia, at least one vaccination, and a spay or neuter surgery. All pets are wormed and vaccinated.
