Pocket's Story...
Hello! My name is Pocket. I am a 3 month old female looking for a forever home! I am very friendly and love getting lots of attention. Unfortunately I have been diagnosed with ringworm but am being treated for it currently. I should be good to go to a loving home within the next month unless you want me sooner and are willing to medicate me yourself. if anyone would like to come visit me at the clinic feel free to stop by, I always enjoy meeting new people or give us a call if you have any other questions about me. The clinic offers a free first year of vet care including my spay and vaccines. Even if you're not able to adopt me, can you please spread the word? I would love to share my affection with a human companion or lovely family! If you are interested in fostering or adopting me, please call Astoria Vet Group at (718)777-0100, or you can email Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pocket, a Elmhurst Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elmhurst, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Elmhurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmhurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmhurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmhurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
