Facts about Rocky

  • Breed: Pug
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 10622773
Rocky's past is he has bounced around from home to home and been in shelters.  There is paperwork that indicates he is 3 years old and the person who surrendered him thought he was maybe 5.  He was surrendered by his owner for financial reasons.  He suffers from allergies and she was unable to afford the care needed.  When he was examined a medical plan for his treatment was formulated.  He is allergic to grain and chicken so he needs to be placed on a grain free food that also does not include chicken.  He is a sweet boy once he gets to know you.  At first he will bark and stand off.  He does not like cars and barks at them when they drive by.  His previous owner also indicated he did not like people that wear a uniform.  He is neutered and heart worm negative.  He was brought up to date on DHLLP, Bordetella, blood and fecal testing as well as a dental cleaning and microchipped.  The Veterinarian determined he does need to see the Dermatologist for his allergy issues at this time.  He is housebroken and has used a crate in the past.  Rocky will remain on Medical Hold until such time as all of his medical issues are resolved.
Anyone interested in providing a home for any of the Pugs in the rescue must complete an Application for Adoption that can be found at under the Adopt/Foster tab located on the left of the home page to begin the adoption process.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption donations range from $150-$400 based on age and medical conditions. Our Pugs are examined by a vet, spay/neutered,microchipped, immunized for Rabies, Corona, DHPP, and Bortella. Each Pug is heartworm and fecal tested, placed on heartworm preventative. Where it is determined that a dental cleaning is necessary, one is done as well as any other procedures deemed necessary to bring the Pug to good health.
