Benton's Story...
Meet Benton! He weighs 10 1/2 pounds, is about 2 years old, and looks like a Brussels Griffon. Our best guess is that he's also part terrier, since he has that excitable, lovable terrier energy! When you meet him, don't let his jumping and barking scare you off: Benton just wants your attention. He loves going on walks and just being with people.

Benton is very friendly and outgoing with everyone he meets. He gets along fine with other small dogs, and even plays nicely with puppies! He is fine with large dogs once he gets to know them. We think Benton would do best in a family without small kids for the simple reason--we think he's an escape artist! He would be out an open door or through a gate in no time. He is better suited to leash walks than to dog parks or back yard exercise.

You can meet Benton at his foster home, Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Rd., 7 days a week during normal store hours. (847-251-6750, www.wilmettepetcenter.com). He is so cute and lovable you will want to take him home on the spot, so please know you will have to go through the application process first!

Benton's adoption fee of $325 includes: vet exam, distemper combo vaccination, bordetella and rabies vaccinations, flea/tick control, routine deworming, heart worm test and heart worm preventative, microchip and neuter.
