My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Addison, a 10 week old mixed breed pup who weighs just over 10 pounds. She and her 4 siblings came to us from a farm in MO. Her mom is an 80 pound Livestock Guardian Dog (who looks like an Irish Wolfhound) and her dad a small Border Collie. Addison is the most petite pup, and must take after her father since she has the looks and energy level of a Border Collie. Although we know her exact age, we have no idea what size she ultimately will grow into, so only those willing to take pot-luck should apply!

Addison can be shy at first, but quickly warms up. She loves attention, and will crawl right into your arms for a snuggle. Then she's off to play! She would do well with another dog for a playmate, and be a good candidate for the dog park. She loves to run and will need off-leash exercise a few times a week. She is good with kids of all ages.

Addison is at Wilmette Pet Center, at 625 Green Bay Road in Wilmette (847-251-6750, www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you will want to take her home on the spot, please know you will have to submit an application first!

Because she is so young, Addison will need someone home at least part of the day to get her on a potty schedule and give her that exercise we know she loves! Puppy obedience school is also a requirement for adoption.

Addison's adoption fee of $375 includes: vet exam, distemper combo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, heart worm preventative, flea/tick preventative, routine deworming, microchip and spay.
