My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!
Meet lovely lady Maggie Mae, 2 years old, 54 pounds, a Boxer/American Bulldog mix. She adores people of all ages. Being a teenager in “dog years,” she is still sometimes enthusiastically friendly when meeting folks, although she has come a long way in learning how to greet people. She behaves very nicely in public at SPOT Adoption Events. She loves (and needs) to go for a brisk walk or a run every day, she knows the commands: sit, stay, down, shake (hands), and kennel. Maggie loves a tasty treat as a reward, and she has a gentle mouth when taking treats from you. She is house-trained and crate-trained and she will sleep peacefully all night in her crate, or on her own doggy bed. She likes riding in the car too; just open the door and she hops right in. Her ideal new home will be with a dog-savvy family, and would be great if they have experience with boxers or bully breeds. We recommend that Maggie be in a home either as an only dog, or possibly with a non-dominant, playful male dog her size. No other types of animals at home for Maggie, please, and we think it would be best if there are no small young children or elderly who she could possibly knock down during playtime or during her super wiggle-butt so-happy-to-see-you dance. Maggie is in a foster home with other dogs, and here are some things her foster mom also has to say about Maggie: - She needs someone who will walk/run/exercise her every day; play with her, continue to practice her training, and someone willing to maintain her crate-training; not allow her to sleep on the bed or couch, - - she needs to remain a dog. She is an affectionate, wonderful girl who does really well when she knows you are in charge of what’s going on so that she can relax and just be your companion and best friend. She truly wants to please her owner. If you think Maggie Mae might be a good match for your family, please do fill out the on-line application and we will arrange for you to meet her and spend some time getting acquainted. Maggie has so much love to give, and is dreaming of finally finding her "forever family." Might that be with you? Fee includes spay, current vaccinations, and her microchip.
