Fuzzy wuzzy cutiepie Scout was put in a box with her two siblings and dumped in a trash bin! A Good Samaritan rescued them in time, and they were immediately placed in a local loving foster home. Sweet Scout loves to poke into everything and play endlessly with anything she can make into a toy.  Her brother, Scooter, is her little look-a-like sidekick, and sister Sandy leads the way! She's a lively, loving little doll who will be a delight in a secure and loving home, maybe along with one of her siblings - or two! A future of affection is sure to erase her harsh start in the world. Scout would love to call your home hers!

About The Cat House on the Kings - Sanctuary

About Our Shelter...

The Cat House on the Kings is California's largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center located on 12 acres along the Kings River in Parlier, California, which is in the central San Joaquin Valley, southeast of Fresno.

At The Cat House, our mission is to:
1) provide a no-cage, no-kill sanctuary for feral and abandoned cats and kittens for the State of California, primarily serving the Central Valley;
2) facilitate the adoption of cats (primarily), dogs and other rescued animals into safe, loving, healthy and permanent homes;
3) educate the public on how to become directly involved in improving the quality of animal welfare;
4) offer low cost spay and neuter referrals.

Come Meet Our Pets...

You may visit The Cat House daily, except major holidays, 1-4 pm, by appointment only. We also have an off-site adoption center located inside Petco at 4144 N. Blackstone at Ashlan in Fresno, which is open open daily 10am-5pm and Wednesday 10am-6pm.

Our Adoption Process...

All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and ear mites, tested for FELV/FIV and microchipped. You must fill out an adoption application and talk directly with one of our adoption coordinators. An adoption contract must be signed at time of adoption.
