We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from CCHS, you have to complete an online application at http://www.collincountyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application.html and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.
Meet Finn! He is approximately 6 months old as of 10/2016 and 33 lbs. Finn was saved just in time from a rural shelter and is currently being treated for Demodex, which is a non-contagious form of mange. He is an absolute doll, shy and very sweet. He was likely not treated so well in his former life and will need a home with older children, not to mention a little patience and a lot of love. He is coming out of his shell now and acting more like a normal, playful puppy. He is currently in a foster home with 2 large female pups with whom he gets along very well. He has yet to have any difficult with potty training, he does well in his crate during the day and is now being trusted to sleep outside of the crate on a doggie bed like his fursisters. And can I just say, this boy loves chew bones and tennis balls, not to mention lots of snuggling!
Finn has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He has also been started on HW preventative. Finn was found to have a fracture in his back left leg and therefore has been prescribed lots of crate rest for the next few weeks to allow his bone to heal. Hopefully, we'll have him all fixed up very soon and back to being a healthy, active puppy. Please submit an application if you'd like to meet this sweet guy!
