Notes from Dewey's Foster Home:

Dewey is the sweetest, kindest, gentlest friend a person could have. He loves to be where you are and he loves to play with your feet. Dewey is a Corgi mix and has a bit of herding instinct. He's playful and can sometimes get a little carried away, but responds well to "NO" and he backs off. He tries to be a gentleman and is very affectionate. While in his crate, he is very good at letting you know when he needs to go out to potty. He's such a good boy and wants so much to please.

Dewey has not had much time to socialize or walk on leashes in public as he has been on crate rest for the last 8 weeks due to his hip surgery. But he loves going to the vet and he loves everyone there. The girls at the clinic and his vet are quite taken with him and have proclaimed him to be a most ADORABLE guy!!!!

Dewey gets along swimmingly with my 4-year-old female dog who is the same size as him. They share toys and wrestle. Dewey is good around cats, but if he wants to play he's not always good at taking "no" for an answer and can be a tad pushy with them. Also, when loose in the house, he has not had any accidents nor has he tried to chew on anything other than the dog toys. Dewey will make an excellent companion and is looking forward to finding his forever home!

Note: The above description reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. Although PUP provides adopters up to the minute information on our dogs, we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners.

About People United for Pets (PUP)

About Our Rescue Group...

People United for Pets (PUP) is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization specializing in small and toy breed dog rescue. We are located in Western Washington State.

Our passion is to bring people and pets together. Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them.

We strive to match our dog's needs and personality to the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter. We believe this is a crucial component of the process and will help ensure a life-long relationship.

Our primary focus is on small purebred or mixed breed dogs, although we do occasionally take in larger dogs. We work collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and nationally.

PUP was established in May, 2006 and since that time has placed an ever increasing number of dogs into their forever homes!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have no central facility. Our dogs are placed in foster homes around the greater Seattle area where they receive socialization and training while they await adoption.
