Randy's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Randy's Story...
Randy is a purebred German Pinscher who is about 4 years old and weighs 30 pounds. He's a great dog in most ways. He's housebroken, good with other dogs both large and small, good with kids, and friendly to all people. His unfortunate behavior is separation anxiety, which will compel him to go to extraordinary lengths to find human companionship when left alone. He can clear a 7' wall, but he never goes far; he just runs up to the first dog-friendly human he can find to attach himself to. Randy's ex-owners tried crating him when he could not accompany them, but he would whimper and cry. We don't know whether he truly has fear of abandonment, or whether he's just accustomed to being a "free spirit" that can come and go at will. Since he achieved the age of 5 years old previously without being crushed on a highway, he must have been content somewhere for that period of time. We'd like to find Randy that kind of home again; one where he can always be with his family, which would have to be one where someone is home all the time to prevent his attempts at escape by jumping fences and destroying obstacles in his path to freedom. He is an adorable dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Randy, a Fillmore German Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Pinscher for sale in Fillmore, or seeking a German Pinscher dog from a breeder in Fillmore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fillmore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fillmore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Pinscher breeders who help with German Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fillmore paves the way for another one to be saved.
