If you have been waiting for a Pitty/Boxer mix who is extra awesome and sweet, look no further!  Patience, who is aptly named, was rescued with her pups in tow from a shelter.  She's not a barker, but is a major lap sitter (yes, all 60 pounds of her). She is potty-trained and doggie-door trained (even if it is a Chihuahua sized doggie door - she'll wiggle in and out of it) and is a major kissy-faced, but slobbery kisser who LOVES people of all shapes and sizes. She even 'woofs' at you like a Walrus and LOVES bones, cookies, treats, pats, kisses, and most of all - hugs.  She's not so much of a toy player and is actually afraid of a vacuum cleaner or floor cleaner, for some reason, but don't let her know we told you!  She LOVES men and seems to get along with other dogs.  She is not food protective or aggressive and will maintain eye contact for commands, rather than following the treat in your hand (pretty impressive)!  She is very gentle with her mouth and is starting to learn basic commands.  She is a very patient girl who is a GREAT dog! For those who know and love the TLC Director's Dog, Big Momma, Linda is happy to report that Patience is another Momma in the making!  She is going to make someone a VERY lucky dog owner!

We are actively seeking a home for Patience with a loving family who has experience with dogs that 'need' to have a job.  This girl is special enough to be trained as a therapy/service dog and she is very smart, so she needs to have something to do.  She is crate trained when her foster mom leaves the house and enjoys being in her 'den' when she is alone.  Activity and stimulation, exercise, and a consistent structure bring out the very best qualities in sweet Patience.

Patience is a 'Teacher's Pet' when accessed using the ASPCA 'Meet Your Match' program. View the video here:

About Tiny Loving Canines (TLC)

About Our Rescue Group...

Tiny Loving Canines operates Ventura County's first and only full-time Rescue Center, open to the public 7 days/week in Simi Valley, CA.

We have the vision of a No-Kill generation, and our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home the abandoned and neglected animals in our community. Our rescue acts as a needs-based safety net, allowing dogs maximum exposure for adoption at the county shelters, and saving their lives when they run out of time. We will do whatever it takes, within our means, to save a dogs life (unless it is illegal or immoral). TLC is proud to partner with Ventura County Animal Services in the march toward No-Kill in Ventura County!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Rescue Shop is located at 1736 Erringer on the 2nd Floor in Simi Valley, CA. We are open 7 days/week to showcase the dogs in our care. You can come visit our dogs and puppies Monday-Saturday from 12-7pm, and Sunday from 12-5pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Every dog and puppy that is adopted from TLC is spayed/neutered, brought up-to-date on vaccinations, and is microchipped. Adoptions also include a complementary wellness exam at Caring Hands Veterinary Hospital and a coupon book to use at Theresa's.

If you are interested in adopting one of our furbabies, the very first step is to complete an adoption application; this can be done either in person at our Rescue Center or online from the dog's profile. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
