Akela is a sweet pup but very shy of new people and places. She will require a patient adopter who will help her learn that the whole world isn't scary and mean. She will do best in a home with another confident dog. She is good with kids but would prefer calmer children. Akela is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.

Our adoption fee is $350. The fee is a donation to help us pay for spay/neuter, vaccinations, parasite treatments if necessary, and microchip. Our dogs are housed in foster homes where they learn manners, such as housetraining

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Akela, a Clay Siberian Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky for sale in Clay, or seeking a Siberian Husky puppy from a breeder in Clay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky breeders who help with Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clay paves the way for another one to be saved.
