MORE INFO ABOUT ME:
HEY FOLKS!! Thanks for stopping by my page and giving me the opportunity to tell you a bit about myself. First and foremost,,,,I am a BARRELL OF FUN!! I live life to the fullest and am ready to play at any given moment!! My name is Pete (the girls at the pound that picked me up named me "Peter Pan", haha they're funny). I am however, only 6-9 months old and man oh man am I giving my foster a run for her money. I love to play, chew, snuggle, and oh yeah I have to pee and poo a lot! I am still lifting on everything (commonly known in the doggie world as ,,,,marking my territory). However, there are certainly ways to help me thru this stage,,,,belly bands (which the girls here can explain to you), crating, tethering and several other methods. The girls are happy to share training ideas with you!! Don't worry though because all of that is temporary and together you and I well we can fix that with lots of hard work and lots of patience and lots of time. If this sounds like too much work for you then you do not need a puppy. However, if you are dedicated, patient, and have the time well then you and I will work on our relationship and our training together and we will most certainly have a lifetime of happiness together. Speaking of lifetime...adoption IS a lifetime committment. As a puppy I am going to live (God willing) another 12 to 15 years and that is an awfully long time. So if you are in it for the short haul because you give up when the going gets tough or if you are a more advanced aged human aka a SENIOR please take a look at some of the other dogs they have in this rescue. They work really hard to match us up with the right FOREVER homes. Right now, I am doing great with my crate training, but I have to go out A LOT so as long as you let me out very frequently I should be crate trained in no time. I absolutely love to snuggle after I am all worn out that is. I am very good in the car too! If you have tiny kids remember, I AM teething and you will need to have lots and lots of appropriate toys to switch out for oh say your babies ankle lol! So if you are reading this and you are saying I have the time and love and patience to adopt Pete then get your app filled out because chances are I am going to go very fast. However, I am only going to be adopted to a home that can demonstrate they have the time, patience, and willingness to train me to be their 'FOREVER DOG. You will have lots of competition so hopefully you read this entire bio DEMONSTRATING EVEN MORE PATIENCE and you will woo them with your app because we do NOT return adoption fees. ADOPTION IS A LIFETIME COMMITTMENT. When the going gets tough get a trainer. We educate ourselves, and our children, and our dogs need education too. I may be small but I'm MIGHTY!!! I have been fostered with both small and large dogs alike and let's just say that I don't dIscriminate according to size!! Nor do I dIscriminate according to species, as you can see in my video I also love the feline persuasion!! I love, love, love running and playing with the other dogs!! Kids?? Well, we share the same energy level so that works too. I have shown no aggression at all with other dogs or humans with neither food nor toys. I walk good on a leash and am always in a hurry so if you need a great exercise buddy,,,,here I am!! Keep in mind that I am still a baby and have those "cute" puppy traits like thinking that anything laying around is mine and therefore available for me to chew on!! Since I am a young terrier I will require a lot of exercise so an active home would be best. I love to snuggle up on the couch but if that's ALL you do then you may want to check out one of our more laid back doggies looking for a quiet home. If all of this sounds like fun (along with some dedicated training), then take a minute or two and fill out that application you will never find a 4 legged buddy that is HAPPIER WITH LIFE THAN ME!! Love, pete xoxoxo
