Tobie's Story...
Tobie is described as an "awesome Border Collie" by his foster momma. She says not only does he has a gorgeous red and white coat, but he is a very kind, gentle dog who is smart and easy to live with. She says he is house trained, crate trained, and rides in the car like a pro. He is quite toy obsessed, and can easily shred a box of toys if given the opportunity. He adores children, and loves for his neighbors to visit. Once they leave, he props by the door whining and longing for their return. Although he is a great house boy, he does still require consistency in exercise. He is a medium high to high energy boy, and could have some sporting potential. Please keep this in mind when applying for him. He is quick to pick up cues from other dogs, and is currently trying his hand at a few agility obstacles, crates himself for dinner time, and is living peacefully with three other female dogs. Tobie is estimated to be around a year old, and will be available very soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tobie, a Allen Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Allen, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Allen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allen paves the way for another one to be saved.
