Meet Slinky and Whitey. These two special ladies are in need of a new home because their owner had to move into a nursing facility. The family has been going to the home to care for them, but once the owner's house sells, Whitey and Slinky will need someplace to go. They do not need to be placed together, although a home together would be nice. An ideal forever home for them would be a calm, somewhat quiet atmosphere like they have always had and enjoyed.
Both girls are a bit timid when meeting new people. Given a little time and understanding, they are wonderful and loving cats.
Whitey is approximately 6 years old. She can be playful and likes her assortment of toys. She is a good companion who enjoys snuggling up and sleeping with her person at night. Once she is comfortable she is quite affectionate and friendly with those she knows well.
Slinky is also approx. 6 years old. She also likes her toys and especially loves to chase the laser pointer. She likes human companionship, but isn't necessarily a lap kitty. She is content sitting on the back of the chair while to supervise while reading or watching TV.
Both girls are spayed and up to date on vaccines. They have recently had a vet check and appear to be happy, healthy kitties. They are both faithful litterbox users. Slinky is front declawed. Whitey has all claws. We do not permit adopters to declaw cat as per our adoption agreement.
If you are interested in meeting Slinky and Whitey please complete an adoption application on our website at This is the first step of the adoption process.

About PawSwaP of Greater Lafayette

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a rescue/ rhoming service that provides education and assistance for owners in our community to keep pets in their home. When that is not an option or we come across animals in need, we will take them into our foster-based program, work with them, seek all necessary vetting, and find them the perfect home.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do various adoption events in the community. If you would like to meet one of our available adoptables, please email us!

Our Adoption Process...

The first step in the adoption process is to complete the adoption application on our website. Once we have reviewed the applications, we will contact the potential adopters to arrange a meet and greet. This can take several days depending on the popularity of the animal.
