Who's ready to add a cool dude to their family?   Then you need to meet Ian.

Ian is definitely a one-of-a-kind cat.  He wants a home where he he can be someone's best buddy.  He loves to sit on his person's shoulder to receive lots of love.  He also loves to spend time with his foster's resident dog.  Yep, he is a dog-kind of cat, loves having a canine companion.

As with any cat, with proper introduction, he will do well in a home with other cats or cat-friendly dogs.  He would also be fine in a home with just another dog.  He certainly needs to be with a playmate, so having a friendly cat or dog will suit this guy just fine!

Also making Ian one of a kind, is his constant wink that he has going on.  Yea, I know you noticed.  So, what is the story?  Ian was a stray, saved from a busy Richardson street in the middle of a rainstorm…luckily, his rescuer knew of Take Me Home Pet Rescue.  He ended up with us and in the loving arms of one of our office volunteers who doubles as a cat foster!

Ian was extremely underweight and obviously had no use for the damaged eye.   Thanks to generous donors, Ian had surgery to remove the eye.

But guess what? He gets along just fine without it.  He loves to run zoomies through his foster's house, chasing toys and the house cats and dog! He LOVES to play fetch with fuzzy ball toys and then chill on the cat tower.

He is one cool dude of a cat with a great attitude!  He has been through so much in his first year and he still loves and trusts humans.   Ian has recovered from surgery and gained a healthy amount of weight.  He is so ready to join a Forever Home of his own!

Ian's approximate birthday is 5/27/2015.

About Take Me Home Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Take Me Home Pet Rescue is a 100% nonprofit organization committed to reducing the homeless pet population by removing dogs and cats from shelters and other unfortunate situations and having them spayed, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted to their forever families.

We consists of a small core group of volunteers who care about the welfare of our homeless pets. We are located in Richardson, Texas and survive solely from your generous donations and fundraiser's (after fundraiser...after fundraiser!). All of our pets live in our homes as we do not have an actual facility. Because they live within the dynamics of the foster families and are exposed to children of all ages and other pets, we find that that our foster cats and dogs are more adoptable as they have already been socialized to live in a family environment.

We have been in existence since April 2008 and have already rescued over 600 dogs and cats from local kill shelters and other unfortunate situations.

All dogs and cats are spayed and neutered before being adopted. These pets also receive all appropriate vaccinations and are microchipped. In effort to reduce the possibility of the pet being returned, adopters are carefully screened to be sure that the personality of both the pet and adopter are a good match.

Our Adoption Process...

All applications are submitted to an adoption board for approval to ensure a happy forever home for both owner and pet. In effort to reduce the possibility of the pet being returned, adopters are carefully screened to be sure that the personality of both the pet and adopter are a good match. We will be in contact with you during this process.

Puppies are ready to go home after their 2nd of 3 shots and spay/neuter are complete. A $50 deposit will hold the puppy of your choice. The 3rd. shot is included in the adoption fee.

All pets are to be kept as indoor, non-working, members of your family and are spayed and neutered before being adopted. These pets also receive all appropriate vaccinations and are microchipped.

A safe pet home visit is included in the adoption fee.
