Here's what the humans have to say about me:
To MEET Dustin - fill out an application. Cut and paste this link into your web browser: http://welcomehomedogrescue.org/?page_id=716
Apply to FOSTER: http://welcomehomedogrescue.org/?page_id=669
Foster parents have the first option to adopt. We will provide all you need to foster.
Weight: 40 lbs
Age: 1 year and 4 months
Personality: Dustin is friendly and sweet. He has a great personality, loves people, kids and other dogs. However we recommend that until the dogs get used to each other, proper introduction and supervision in the beginning are recommended
Coat: The Jindo are naturally incredibly clean dogs. They have self-cleaning coats and do not need to be bathed frequently. They even groom themselves like cats. The downside of this is that they also shed profusely, especially in hot weather with their double coat. Regular brushing will reduce excessive shedding. These dogs have no special grooming needs, making them fairly low maintenance..
Training: He knows basic commands and is very smart and a quick learner.
Potty trained: Yes
Health: Healthy with up to date vaccination
History: Dustin was saved from a high kill shelter in South Korea where he was scheduled to be euthanized. Jindo mixes often end up at a high kill shelter or being a victim of the dog meat because there are too many in Korea.
Fostered in: Imperial Animal Hospital in La Mirada.
** Southern California Applicants only.
Type of home: Jindos are very intelligent, active and love to make a strong bond with their family. He will do great with a family with kids or other dogs who can spent time with him or an active single.
Crate trained: Yes
Good with Dogs:Yes ( Proper introduction with new dogs is recommended)
Good with Kids: Yes
Good with Cats: Unknown
Adoption fee (non-refundable): $300
All dogs are fully vetted, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and up to date with vaccinations.
Our adoption process looks like this:
1. Adoption application review by WHDR board
2. Adoption application approval
3. Meet and greet
4. Home safety check
5. Final approval and adoption finalized
Our volunteers, donors and adopters mean the world to us! Without you, we couldn't do what we do - saving the lives of abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and providing them with a loving forever home.
