Important Note

Guppy is best friends with Pearl. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Pearl and Guppy were found on the freeway. It took fie days to rescue them! Pearl and Guppy must be placed together.

Guppy is the brown one on the right. Pearl is on the left. Guppy still very much a puppy. He runs and plays with such joy and happiness! He loves to chew on shoes and toys. Guppy loves to cuddle with his mom Pearl and all humans.
Guppy is crate trained and potty pad trained, but if left alone, he will use a floor mat. It is best to crate them together when leaving them alone. Guppy cried when he is away from Pearl. When they were seen on the frwy, Pearl was leading Guppy to safety.

The foster family is requesting that Pearl & Guppy be placed together in their forever home. When you meet them, you will know why.

About Mountains' Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a non profit group of volunteers that began in 1975. We have no shelter facilities, we rely only on foster homes and donations to keep our programs running.
We have membership that offers discounts at local merchants
We have newsletters with pet tips and info
We offer emergency medical funding
We have a telephone and website service to assist with lost & found animals, adoptions, Foster care and general info.
We have pet identification tags for $5

Come Meet Our Pets...

Because of our mountain location, our winter weather can be freezing and long. We encourage you to check the Calendar page on our website at for the dates & locations of our events. You can also view photos of our current animals available by clicking on the "Adoptions" tab.
We DO NOT have a location/facility/shelter. If you would like to meet any of our available animals, we will need to set up a one on one meeting with you.

Our Adoption Process...

Please e-mail us to request an adoption application, and specify what animal you are interested in. Incomplete applications will not be considered, so be sure you fill in every line.
We ask for a $95.00 donation for dogs and a $75 donation for cats. Our adoption donation is quite a bargain if you add up the costs of everything we include; our animals are already spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations and have been tested for FLA virus (cats) and Heartworm (dogs). We also include a free local Veterinarian office visit, a folder of valuable information about your pet, a DVD to help you and your new pet adjust, and a goodie bag of treats, coupons, samples and a toy. During the "good weather" months, we will be having adoption days throughout our mountain communities at which times most of our listed animals can be seen.
