Karla's Story...
Hello There...I'm Karla and I'm very playful, social and loving. I love people and did well with the children in my home and the animals I visited with. I know some commands and LOVE car rides. And based on my profile, I've experienced separation anxiety in the past. I can't help it. When my people leave, I'm afraid they're never coming back, and I panic. But there are ways to manage this in a home and help me learn that when you leave, you will also return. There is a lot of helpful information on the internet. The Humane Society of the United States and the ASPCA are good resources. You can also talk with an adoption counselor. In my previous home, I had to spend a lot of time outside. This is not a solution. Just leaving me outside will likely make me feel even more abandoned. Plenty of daily exercise - walks and play time- WITH my person will help me be calmer and we might even make some new friends. I need a special person/family with the patience, love and perseverance to help me become a girl who trusts that you will always return to me. The VHS thinks I'm worth the effort. I hope you'll come in and see if you think so too.
My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, up to date immunizations, nationally recognized microchip and more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Karla, a Evansville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
