My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

MEET HARLEY….a petite, 7 lb, 3-4 yr old, white Maltese mix, who would jump on his “hog” and ride thru town if he had one! But, if he has you, he’s portable! Harley came from the street, his owners were never found, even after his brief stay in the shelter to find them. So, he became ours. He did have a cyst on his mouth, which we had removed to not cause further issues. Harley is a lover, kisses sparingly, duplicates himself as the “energized bunny” when he is in the mood! He’ll chase after a toy, but if someone else is going for it, he backs off! When you rub his belly, he goes into nirvana! Harley likes to have conversations, which he will have by himself if you leave him alone! So, the best home for him would be one with a family to dote on him, or perhaps your “sidekick” or anywhere where he will get a lot of attention. Another dog is not a must, but leaving him alone a lot, would be a no no. Apartment living might not be the best for him, as he will bark (does calm down) when he is sequestered (no crates for this boy). Harley would make a wonderful family dog…and is good with others… he just doesn’t like to be alone (no separation anxiety tho). He just wants to be home and loved. Do you have a place for him??

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.

Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!

Don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on upcoming events!

See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes
